Let’s talk cruise packing hits and misses

In this episode we talk about cruise packing hits and misses from our Royal Caribbean Adventure of the Seas cruise. We’ll be sharing the good, the bad and the ugly from our first cruise back, specifically what went right, and WRONG with our our packing game on Royal Caribbean’s adventure of the seas.

HitsHere are the top 5 things I reached for in my flight bag:

Misses

  • Sunscreen selection was not good at hotels or ship
  • Didnt wear athletic shoes a single time
  • Didn’t wear water socks
  • Flip flops broke
  • Mr CTTV wasn’t happy with pants
  • No laundry service on ship
  • Packed one pair of shorts, could have used one more

Final Thoughts

  • Disposable face masks are wonderful while traveling, because let’s be honest, it’s nice to toss them in the trash after a long flight.
  • My cruise binder on this trip was THICK, and I have zero regrets about printing off everything for this cruise. From our COVID tests, health visas and shore ex proof, it was all worth the extra space this time! To learn how we make our binder, check out this little video.
  • We drank Liquid IV EVERY day on this cruise, to stay hydrate and keep our immunity strong. I prefer the tangerine immunity blend, and hubby likes the energy formula. It’s great stuff! • Don’t overlook the onboard gift shops. Hubby found this awesome Royal Caribbean logo hat, which both of us can wear. And, I think he looks pretty darned handsome in it!

Lastly, don’t forget to shop our cruise store! We have recently updated it with safe travel in mind, and we think you’ll love some of the new additions!

Here’s what people are saying about the CruiseTipsTV Unplugged Podcast

  • Made me a cruise expert
March 22, 2023 by MK OKAYY from United States

I have fallen in love with cruising, and Cruise Tips TV has become a regular part of my life now. Cruising is wonderful, but I do think there is a learning gap for people used to land vacations. My first cruise, I made all the mistakes. Second cruise, overcompensated and made all new mistakes. Then, I found Cruise Tips TV and it improved my cruising experience ten-fold. Now, I always have a cruise booked that I’m looking forward to. I follow Sherri and fam to keep up to date and to keep my excitement alive for my next sail. My partner and I are planning our first Alaska cruise with Princess this May. Truly, I would never have tried an Alaska cruise without Cruise Tips TV’s vlogs, videos, and podcasts about cruising the last frontier. I’m big on knowing what to expect, and they have made me feel very prepared for what I can predict, and ready to embrace surprises I can’t. My partner and I are planning to have a packing date night a couple weeks prior to our cruise. I’ll have packing cubes, the Alaska packing list, and cruise-inspired cocktails handy. And I’ll have the podcast playing in the background of course. Thanks so much for all your work and content.
