Lots of big cruise news in this week’s Cruise Tips TV Unplugged podcast

Today, we’re covering this week’s big cruise news developments in the cruise travel industry. From the no sail order update to Princess cruises new ship, we’ll fill you in. We’ll start with an update on the CDC no-sail order.

White House Intervenes in Cruise Ship Ban

The CDC Director, Robert Redfield was reportedly overruled today in the White House situation room.

Axios is reporting that Redfield suggested extending the No-Sail Order through February 2021, because of the virus’ severity and the vulnerability for spread on cruises.

However, Vice President Mike Pence, who was running the meeting, told Redfield that they would be “proceeding with a different plan”, according to two task force members. That different plan appears to be, at first, extending the Cruise Ship Ban just one month past it’s slated expiration date, through October, 2020.

Other cruise news topics covered in the podcast include:

  • More Carnival cruise cancellations
  • Enchanted Princess Joins Fleet
  • Princess add a ship to the west coast
  • Rotterdam Reaches Next Building Milestone
  • Costa Smeralda Restarts

This podcast is very much worth the listen. I have never cruised before and found myself interested in planning future cruises. I hit the jackpot when I found Cruise Tips TV. You will find all aspects of cruising in the podcast. Sheri and Mr. Cruise Tips TV tell reviews about previous cruises and excursions, cruise industry news, preparation tips, packing tips, and so much more. They tell you so much useful information all while having a really wonderful dynamic that makes listening to them truly fun. I am so glad that I found this podcast. I now really feel prepared to plan some cruises for my family and I and I’m really excited to do so. This is literally the best travel podcast that I have found. One non podcast tip- check out their YouTube channel if you aren’t on the move. It’s really great to be able to get a real visual, especially of the ships and excursions.

You can’t help but hear Sheri’s voice and get swept away into the world of cruising. Whenever I’m really missing the feel of the ocean or the excitement of packing up my favorite cruise items, I listen to Sheri and feel like we’re right there together. She’s like the cream filling between each ‘cookie’ cruise you get to take.
