Does it make sense to book a cruise now?
In this episode of the podcast we ask, and attempt to answer the question “Should you book a cruise right now?” We’re 6 months into a global health crisis and we think it’s a good time to ask this question.
Food for thought:
- Do you have a future cruise credit that expires?
- Are you flexible about the ports you’ll visit?
- Are you willing to cruise with added rules and restrictions? Dining changes, masks, not being able to choose your seat in the venue.
- Will your employer require you to self quarantine?
- Are you at high risk for COVID?
- How will you feel about your cruise being cancelled, especially if a refund is delayed?
Why you SHOULD book a cruise now … maybe?
3 things to consider…
- At first, there will be DEALS.
- Cruising will be safer and cleaner than EVER. Air filtration, buffet changes, reduced capacity, increased sanitation and hand washing.
- Cancellation policies have never been better.
Final ruling- if you’re hesitant, don’t book. You can always book later. Deals will always be there.

- #1 Cruise Podcast!by doc mullins from United States
CruiseTipsTV Unplugged is THE best cruise podcast! The content and information shared is practical for veteran cruisers and newbies alike. The range of topics offers something for everyone and appeals to anyone who loves to cruise. The format is concise and professionally edited. I appreciate how they inform and advocate for the cruise industry. Sheri’s voice is perfectly suited for podcasting, and the banter between her and Mr. CruiseTipsTV is always entertaining - they are an extremely likable couple! I look forward to Wednesdays because I can listen to a new episode of CruiseTipsTV Unplugged! It is the #1 podcast I recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about cruising. Please keep the new episodes coming, and one day I hope to see YOU on the high seas!
- Watch out! It’s contagiousby MellieD9 from United States
Sheri has cruise-itis for Alaska every two to three years. I will tell you know, it’s contagious. So much so that I just booked my Alaska cruise for next year today...and I just went last year! The podcast is addictive. I originally found the family’s YouTube channel but have recently started listening to the podcast and catching up on the episodes daily. Sheri and the boys’ love for cruising is evident and their dedication to providing positivity in these uncertain COVID times is unwavering. If you need tips, tricks, information, a nudge for your traveling partner, or just a mental getaway, this is the podcast to fill all those needs. While their YT channel can give you pictures, the podcast lets your imagination soar with the possibilities of cruising, fun in the sun, and precious moments spent with family and loved ones. Sheri, Mr. CTTV, and Jr. Editor-in-Chief keep up the fantastic work, and I look forward to seeing you on the high seas. Melanie S.
