Royal Caribbean’s Second Icon Class Ship is Officially Under Way

February 2023 – And then there were two: Royal Caribbean International’s second ship in the revolutionary Icon Class is officially under way with the first cut of steel. To celebrate the initial construction milestone for the next in the lineup of the world’s best family vacations, a traditional steel-cutting ceremony was held at Meyer Turku shipyard in Turku, Finland. The soon-to-be-named ship will set sail in 2025, following Icon of the Seas’ debut in January 2024.
