Queen Mary 360 Promenade Tour

We try our luck with a Queen Mary 360 video

Hi Cruisers, In this video we try something a little new, and take you for a walk around the Queen Mary Hotel promenade. We are just starting to use our Insta360 One video camera, so bare with us. Watching this Insta360 video sample of the Queen Mary Hotel promenade, I can see a few things I could have done better, or at least different. In future 360 videos I will try to resist the urge to “point” the camera. Instead I’ll leave the focal point of the video up to the viewer to choose. That said, it was a lot of fun doing this Queen Mary 360 tour. Oh, and yes, it is a bit bumpy (my fault), but that’s something else I can work on. Also, it was a bit of a dark dreary day in Long Beach, and the Insta360 doesn’t do super well in low light. So, we’ll just have to deal with that little bit of grain in the video. Overall I think we are happy with taking a few steps in the direction of producing more 360 video. BTW – we had planned on doing a full walk around the Queen Mary for a full “Queen Mary Ship Tour”, but there were a lot of areas closed off for renovation, and it was raining quite a bit.
