Leaning into 2022, and embracing the unknown
In this week’s podcast we look back on 2021, and talk about embracing the unknown with 2022. Well, friends, we are coming to the end of 2021, and it’s been a wild one. We can’t say that 2021 went the way we were expecting, or even hoping, but ultimately we have much to be thankful for. It was a year of unexpected opportunities and growth for us as a family, and as entrepreneurs.
In this podcast we’ll talk about some of those unexpected opportunities, and how we will approach 2022. Last year, we said we were going to seek out lessons, hard stuff, and the uncomfortable. Things that will help us grow. Well, in a sense we achieved those goals. We certainly learned lessons, went through some hard stuff, and yes, we stepped out of our comfort zone. But again, things did not go as expected. Here’s just a short list of things we accomplished that we’ll be touching on in this podcast:
- St. Maarten
- Atlantis & Adventure of the Seas
- 2 Cruises on Carnival Panorama
- Media Event on Scarlet Lady
- Media Event on Navigator of the Seas
So, what about 2022?
Truth is, it’s very difficult to plan any travel right now. There are many factors that are simply just out of our control, at least as it pertains to travel.

Our general plan for CruiseTipsTV is to get back to our roots a little. We intend to produce lots of tip-focused content. Educating will be our primary goal for our channels.
The lessons we learned from 2021 (what we’ll call the “Year of Unexpected Opportunities”) has given us enthusiasm for the unexpected. We are looking forward to what this next year will bring. We’re calling 2022 the “Year of Embracing the Unknown”.

Here’s what people are saying about the CruiseTipsTV Unplugged Podcast
- Made me a cruise expertMarch 22, 2023 by MK OKAYY from United States
I have fallen in love with cruising, and Cruise Tips TV has become a regular part of my life now. Cruising is wonderful, but I do think there is a learning gap for people used to land vacations. My first cruise, I made all the mistakes. Second cruise, overcompensated and made all new mistakes. Then, I found Cruise Tips TV and it improved my cruising experience ten-fold. Now, I always have a cruise booked that I’m looking forward to. I follow Sherri and fam to keep up to date and to keep my excitement alive for my next sail. My partner and I are planning our first Alaska cruise with Princess this May. Truly, I would never have tried an Alaska cruise without Cruise Tips TV’s vlogs, videos, and podcasts about cruising the last frontier. I’m big on knowing what to expect, and they have made me feel very prepared for what I can predict, and ready to embrace surprises I can’t. My partner and I are planning to have a packing date night a couple weeks prior to our cruise. I’ll have packing cubes, the Alaska packing list, and cruise-inspired cocktails handy. And I’ll have the podcast playing in the background of course. Thanks so much for all your work and content.
