Embarkation day Carnival Panorama

Our list of embarkation day don’ts

We’ve just returned from a terrific Carnival cruise, and we’ve seen first hand how cruising has changed. In this podcast we’ll talk about some of those changes, and what not to do if you want to enjoy that wonderful first day- embarkation day! Today, we’re sharing 10 things you should NOT do on embarkation day.

If you are planning a cruise soon, you’ll want to give today’s podcast a listen. We’ve got lots of great cruise tips and a fare amount of silly side-tracking.

If you don’t have time for the whole podcast, you can get a peek at the list below.

  1. Not printing off your boarding docs & not completing pre boarding paperwork online
  2. Arriving too early, or before your assigned boarding time
  3. Not knowing your cruise line’s carry on beverage policy
  4. Not packing a small embarkation day bag
  5. Thinking the buffet is your only option for lunch
  6. Not exploring the ship
  7. Waiting to do the muster drill
  8. Missing sailaway
  9. Not confirming dining arrangements
  10. Not savoring the moment – don’t rush around so much that you don’t enjoy the day

Very relatable host(s) who it’s easy to feel like you’re just sitting at a table with while they talk and banter enthusiastically about cruise stuff. Working hard for our attention, and I appreciate that.

I started listening last year when I booked my very first cruise, which is a transatlantic this April with my mom! The info you share has been incredibly helpful! I love your bright personality and enthusiasm for cruising. I listen on my way to work in the mornings and get so excited about my own cruise! Thank you, and Mr CruiseTips, so much for this podcast!

Going on my first ever cruise this summer to Alaska and trying to learn as much as possible. Really enjoy this podcast. Your voices are so easy to listen to, love the banter, and so much good information. My only wish is that you knew Celebrity because that’s who I’m cruising with. That aside, thank you.
