Getting a COVID vaccine, and the latest cruise news

Before we discuss getting a vaccine, we start off this week’s podcast with a roundup of the latest cruise news. We have stories from Carnival Cruise line, including their response to other lines announcing plans to sail from other ports around the world. Royal Caribbean lends a hand in St. Vincent helping to evacuate residents following the eruption of the La Soufrière volcano. Princess Cruises announced that on its return to service, every ship in its fleet will feature land-like connectivity as part of its MedallionNet Wi-Fi service.

NCL announced they are restarting cruises. The trio of ships will operate under the company’s new SailSAFE program, and start out with trimmed capacity. All crew will be vaccinated and all guests will be required to have been vaccinated too. Disney Lays Keel for New Ship Disney Wish. The Disney Wish is scheduled to sail its maiden voyage in summer 2022. Information on itineraries and bookings for the ship will be released at a later date.
