Copenhagen Wins Cruceroadicto Awards

Copenhagen voted best cruise port in Northern Europe by Spanish-speaking travellers

Copenhagen has won the Cruceroadicto 2022 Award as the best cruise port in Northern Europe at the Fitur International Tourism Fair in Madrid.

The award is based on an international cruise satisfaction survey of votes from Spanish speaking travellers. Best Northern European Port is one of 17 categories of the Cruceroadicto 2022 Awards, which are given out for the first time this year. The voting process allowed travelers to vote freely and independently on their favorite cruise lines, ships, and ports. The runners-up in the category as best Northern European port were the ports of Geiranger and Flam in Norway.

According to CruiseCopenhagen and Copenhagen Malmö Port, this award reflects the dedicated work to make Copenhagen an attractive destination for all cruise guests.

“We are very happy that Copenhagen was chosen by travellers themselves as the best Northern European port. This award really motivates us to continue our efforts in the upcoming 2023 cruise season to ensure that we keep up the good work to deliver world-class services to cruise ships and visitors,” says Luis de Carvalho, Commercial Cruise Director, Copenhagen Malmö Port.

Copenhagen is an ideal turnaround port with a well-connected international airport, great infrastructure, and an efficient port operation. Copenhagen was named the world’s top city for travellers by Lonely Planet in 2019 due to its old charm combined with a sustainable way of living.

“We collaborate with key stakeholders in the city to ensure a good experience for all cruise guests. This award confirms that all the hard work and strong collaboration between partners in the network makes Copenhagen unique as a cruise destination,” says Helene Mølgaard Bæk, Senior Manager at CruiseCopenhagen.
