Welcome to Comfort Cooking with Sheri
We’re trying something different… again.
Come on into the CruiseTipsTV Kitchen for some comfort cooking! In this special episode, we’re blending two things we love- cruising, and food! Tonight, we are whipping up something we have always wanted to try, the 5 minute magic green sauce from Pinch of Yum.
Junior and I adore Lindsay, and the Pinch of Yum recipes. Lindsay is a former 4th grade teacher, turned full time blogger. She shares many of her favorite things on her website including this terrific green sauce recipe.

As she explains on her site, it’s “Loaded with avocados, garlic, parsley, cilantro, olive oil, jalapeño, lime juice, salt, and pistachios, it might be my favorite sauce (read: dressing, marinade, dip, spread) I’ve made ever ever ever. It’s reminiscent of guacamole just because of the avocado-cilantro-lime thing, but the parsley, the pistachios, and the olive oil keep it from being decidedly Mexican in flavor and make it compatible with, I mean, literally, everything. Salads, chicken, chips and crackers, sandwiches, dipping vegetables, you name it.”
After the show we literally sat down for dinner, and used this wonderful green sauce on just about everything we ate.
We’ll be doing this again!
If you enjoyed this comfort cooking episode, then we’ve got good news for you. We are going to be doing this again. Today’s episode about 5 minute green sauce was our first attempt at doing this. We wanted to start with something quick and easy. Our next cooking video is a bit more complicated. Sunday, please join us as we cook up the Guy’s Burger “Ringer” burger from Carnival Cruise line. Anything could happen… and probably will!

Let us know what you think about this new content. As for me, I had an absolute blast in this episode. It felt really comfortable for me, and having you all there with us was so much fun. I loved checking in to the chat, and seeing all the fun comments from you. Before the episode started, both Mr. CTTV and I were super nervous. Livestreams are the domain of Murphy’s law, and just about everything was new to us in this episode, from the content right down to all the technical gear.
Within minutes of starting the show you all made those jitters disappear. From there it was just free flowing fun. We did a little cooking, a little chatting, and a lot of laughing. The bottom line is I truly enjoyed this episode. So if you’re all okay with it, we’d love to keep doing them.
Thank you all for joining us, and stay tuned for more fun, and sometimes experimental episodes like comfort cooking. If you like us trying out different show themes, you may also like this wacky 80’s glow party episode. We really went all out in this episode. You guys had me dancing non-stop for at least the first 10 minutes. We had a black light, a disco ball, tons of crazy 80’s trivia, but most of all we had fun. If you missed this livestream, go back and check it out, seriously! It was tubular!
A lot went into this 80’s episode. If you’re interested in what it takes to put something like this together, then check out out behind the scenes video.
