Carnival Corporation’s North American Brands Extend Pause in Cruise Operations
In response to the new CDC Framework for Conditional Sailing, several cruise lines today canceled voyages through December 2020. Carnival Corporation made the announcement on behalf of their North American Brands (Carnival Cruise Line, Cunard North America, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises and Seabourn).
While lifting the CDC No Sail Order was a good step in the right direction for resumption of cruise travel, the in-depth of requirements will require more time. These cruise cancellations further indicated that the cruise lines simply can’t re-staff their ships, perform the simulated voyages, and meet all the standards required to obtain their certificates by December 1.
The release reads:
Pause in operations extends from Dec. 1 to Dec. 31 and includes five brands from the world’s largest cruise company – Carnival Cruise Line, Cunard North America, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises and Seabourn
